WORKSHOPS PROGRAM SCHEDULE

KIDS ARTS & CRAFTS WORKSHOPS @ the Performance Space

Facilitated by the amazing Casula Powerhouse Public Programs & Education team

Time: walk in and have fun! Anytime between 11am – 1pm

Ages: recommended for kids under 12 years

 

CARNIVAL RHYTHMS PERCUSSION WORKSHOPS – Outdoors

Facilitated by percussionist Vincent Sebastian & Giorgio Rojas

Registration: online registration for 11am via this LINK. Registration on the day required for 12pm, 3pm & 4pm sessions.

Time: starts at 11am, 12pm, 3pm & 4pm

Ages: recommended for young people and adults

 

PAN-AFRICAN PERCUSSION WORKSHOPS – Outdoors

Facilitated by Karifi

Registration: required on the day.

Time: starts at 1pm & 2pm

Ages: recommended for young people and adults

 

JUNK PERCUSSION WORKSHOP @ the Performance Space

Facilitated by Ghanaian-born artist Lucky Lartey from Jamestown Collective 

Registration: required on the day. Only one workshop.

Time: 1:30pm – 2:30pm

Ages: recommended 8 – 17 years. Younger participants can take part as long as supervised by a parent or guardian

 

4 ELEMENTS AFRO LATIN DANCE WORKSHOP @ the Performance Space

Facilitated by Uruguayan-born dancer Mariu Meneses with live percussion by Ney Arrua

Registration: required on the day. Only one workshop.

Time: 3pm – 4pm

Ages: recommended for adults

 

SOCCER SKILLS COMPETITION – next to stalls area, outdoors

Presented by Futsal Institute. Registration for each round is required

Rounds start at 12.30pm, 1.30pm and 2.30pm. ‘Best of’ final at 3pm. Prizes up for grabs for each round with cash prize at the final.
